Sports Skill Contests
Boost sponsorship awareness and get consumers to be part of the action with a sports skill challenge, with the top prize covered by PIMS-SCA SPORT.
Examples of skill contests PIMS-SCA SPORT have covered at high profile sporting events include:
- Football – Kick for Cash
Contestants kick a football from the 12 yard penalty spot, through a designated target. The smaller the target hole, the bigger the prize. If the contestant scores a “goal”, they win the prize, paid for by PIMS-SCA SPORT!
Additional prizes can also be covered if the contestant makes a second or third “goal” or Sponsors can award their own prizes, if the contestant succeeds from shorter distances.
- Cricket – Bowling For Cash
Sponsors provide cricket spectators with lunchtime entertainment by bringing contestants down to the pitch to bowl for prizes – covered by PIMS-SCA SPORT.
Participants are selected from the crowd. Each contestant is given 12 deliveries at three stumps – they must bowl the ball over-arm – and every time they hit the stump, they win £500. To reward contestants for their outstanding bowling skills, additional rounds of increasing difficulty can be added – the better the bowler, the bigger the prizes!
- Rugby – Conversion Cash Kick
Contestants are chosen randomly from on pack promotional or sponsor locations, for example. The lucky contestant is brought onto the pitch at half time, for a chance to win a prize – at PIMS-SCA SPORT’s expense. The contestant kicks a Rugby ball from a predetermined distance, through the goal posts to make a conversion. If they succeed they win the prize.
- Golf – Hole-in-One
Offer customers the chance to win up to £1,000,000 by hitting a Hole-in-One. For instance, four lucky winners from an on-pack promotion win a Golfing Weekend Away. They have the chance to win £1,000,000 if they hit a Hole-in-One on any of the par three holes during their weekend away, with PIMS-SCA paying the £1,000,000.
